A Day With La La

I spent the day with my baby niece Laura the other day ago. She's cute as a button and such a sweet little angel. I let her tear apart my book case, book by book lol She had a lot of fun doing it :D I think her favorite book was the Cath Kidston one I have of her prints and she seemed to like Wuthering Heights. Either way, you can tell she's a baby einstein! Cath Kidston makes the cutest stuff and Wuthering Heights I think is pretty obvious.

I made a rattle-ish toy out of a plastic film canister and a few watch batteries. She spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get the lid open. I watched her carefully for fear that she would actually get it open. After all any baby who picks Wuthering Heights out of a 100 other books is surely genius enough to figure out a simple little contraption like a film canister. I got lucky though, eventually she got bored with the makeshift rattle and went for my camera and the cats tail (ouch!). Eventually she clunked out on me. She fell asleep on me while watching cartoons. It was so precious <3

Anyway, here are some photos of her. Isn't she just the cutest thing since the color pink!!!

Busy Little Bee

It's been awhile, but for good reason :D Hubby has been on vaca for our anniversary (the 22nd) so we've been out shopping and having a good time. Now we're both so tired from all the running, all we want to do is sit around the house and do nothing.

We started out doing my favorite thing ever, thrift store hunting. Every now and then I like to take a day and go to all the thrift stores we can think of. Thrift stores are my heart and soul. I love finding old / vintage things like linens, china, books, home decor etc. I would much rather have something old with history than something new that everyone else has in their home. I found some really nice things including a new headboard for our bed! It's vintage and adorable :D

We also went and took photos in this cute little town I love. While there we met an adorable puppy named Krimbo. I'll post a photo of him for you to see. The light was amazing!! I got some really beautiful photos. I plan to go back again tomorrow :D Most of our time there was spent talking to Krimbo's owner so I didn't get to photograph all the things I wanted to.

I also read Eat Pray Love and then went to see the movie. You gotta love Julia Roberts! She is just an angel ♥ So about the book and movie. I liked the movie but I loved the book. I was able to connect more with the book, probably because it goes into a lot more detail than the movie. All in all the story itself of Elizabeth Gilbert's journey really touched me. I would recommend both the memoir and the movie :D

Cheerleading

Sunday, Hubby and I went to one of my niece's football games to watch them cheer. They are both so adorable and talented :D We both really enjoyed going and plan to go again. I also feel like it meant a lot to my niece's to have us there. They both seemed excited and proud that we were there. After the games we all went out for pizza. It was nice to not only watch my niece's cheer but to also watch my sister coach. She's the coach for my littler niece's squad. She did a great job teaching them. They did really well. Here are some photos from the games and also a photo of my baby niece Laura.

Colorful Pens

I had a cheer photo session scheduled for today, but it poured down rain so we had to cancel. I'm not really fretting about it because we needed this rain. It's been so hot and so humid the last couple of days. I was starting to think the 90 degree weather was here to stay. My thinking was wrong and I'm happy about that :P It's supposed to be 67 degrees tomorrow with more rain. Autumn-ish weather I can handle!! As for the cheer session, I'll do it another day when mother nature decides to agree with my plans.

I was bored today, stuck inside because of mother nature. I decided to take some photos. One of the things I decided to photograph are these purdy colorful pens I have. I've had them for awhile now, I don't know why I haven't done this shot already... My best excuse is that my brain has been on vaca somewhere tropical and just landed home again lol Well anyway, here are two of the photos. Simple, but pretty none the less.

Autumn Like Weather

I'm really enjoying this Autumn like weather we've been having recently. Sadly, like all good things it's coming to an end soon enough. I can't wait until Autumn actually arrives. It's my favorite time of year. The leaves start turning colors, trees that were once just normal green turn into these beautiful splashes of color. PA is very mountain-ish so around here you can take a drive out to the mountains and see these huge areas filled with colors. Not to mention the cooler weather calls for light sweaters, boots, hot tea, soups, and hot cocoa. I just can't wait for it. This weather has made me want to pull out my cute tea pot and take some photos. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do :)

Baby Photoshoot

I had a photo shoot on Tuesday with a precious little baby. He's 11 days old and cute as a button. Here are some shots from the session.
